UPPER HACKATHON OSLO 2024

it's #UPPERHACKATHON time again!

After the successful event in Rome, Oslo will be hosting the second project Hackathon.

UPPER partners, along with the Youth For Public Transport (Y4PT) Foundation, are looking for bright minds who could help advance this transition, benefitting all citizens. We are inviting any young professional, student, or start-up to participate!

We invite students and young professionals with an interest in technology, design, creativity, innovation, digitalization, and business development, who can contribute to improving mobility for the public, to a 2-day hackathon. Are you interested in transforming your city into a more sustainable one?

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: 22ND OF JANUARY 2024

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any youth, student, and young professionals with an interest in the aforementioned disciplines. Up to 5 members per team. Participants can be individuals of any age, or nationality, teams of people, students, or young professionals, who will demonstrate their commitment, creativity, or enthusiasm for sustainability in their application. Are you one of those innovative and creative individuals or teams with a great ability to get the most out of limited resources? Then this call is for you!

THE CHALLENGE
Ruter plans to cooperate with mobility operators and housing organizations (like OBOS and USBL) to offer a door-to-door mobility service that meets the daily needs of residents. What pricing strategies, app-based incentives, and integrations with Ruter’s and the housing cooperatives’ digital interfaces can be developed to motivate residents to use sustainable transport options, and what can motivate the boards to establish these services?UPPER
