Mannheim

Manheim with 309,119 inhabitants is the second-largest city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

Mannheim is a historical symbol of mobility, being a major transportation hub with about 200.000 daily commuters. Mannheim has embraced the ambitious target to be climate-neutral in 2030 and has set up the Local Green Deal, where the municipality is co-developing the strategy together with citizens, political leaders, the private sector and researchers and describing the concrete local implementation along with the eight thematic action areas of the European Green Deal, including clear agreements for achieving a green clean and healthy urban mobility.
