Integrated micro-mobility services to boost intermodality with public transport
This measure increases the visibility and use of active and micro-mobility modes by integrating them directly into the traveller-information app used across Île-de-France, together with Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM, the regional transport authority). Three IDFM micro-mobility services are now embedded in the app: Bike Parking (open racks and Navigo-accessible secure lockers near stations), Véligo Rental (subsidised long-term e-bike rental) and the Maisons du Vélo (cycling advice, repair and lessons hubs). Concretely, the app creates a dedicated point of interest for each service, enriches journey roadmaps with nearby bike-parking and services to build genuine intermodal trips, gives in-app access to subscriptions, and offers turn-by-turn cycling guidance through a deeplink to Géovélo. The measure targets the three main frictions to combining cycling with public transport: the last mile, secure bike parking, and above all the poor discoverability of existing services; supporting the regional objective of tripling cycling trips by 2030.
