To design and develop an innovative, inclusive and convenient stop for buses
This measure consists of the design and deployment of an innovative, inclusive bus stop model aimed at improving safety, accessibility and user experience at bus stop environments. The measure integrates smart infrastructure and behavioural insights to reduce conflicts between pedestrians, cyclists and micromobility users in the area surrounding the stop. Its main objective is to enhance road safety by anticipating bus arrivals and activating intelligent warning systems in adjacent cycling lanes, increasing user awareness at critical interaction points when passengers are expected to board or alight. In addition, the measure promotes universal accessibility through the provision of real-time passenger information systems with voice-assistance features, supporting visually impaired users and ensuring equitable access to public transport information. The installation of Passenger Information System (PIS) and 70″LCD screens is part of the measure. By combining technology, inclusive design and behavioural understanding, this measure seeks to create safer, more accessible and more efficient bus stop facilities for all users.
