This revision was based on a household survey (evaluation of ca. 60,000 trips in Budapest and its agglomeration), conducted by TRENECON (represented by Márton Hegedüs, Transport Network Planner), and funded by the UPPER project. RelativeGAP created a new demand model and used a new approach on many aspects, including:
- an integrated tour-based demand model
- a ’touristic layer’ including mobility patterns of tourists, their dedicated demand model, and an advanced approach to handling the airport zone
- mobility behaviour of people working from home
- revision of transfer times and patterns, and walking times at intermodal hubs
- more accurate mapping of bus and train services of the agglomeration
