CarrisWay, the new app for public transport passes in Lisbon

As part of the UPPER's measures, project partner CARRIS launched a mobile app to load passes and transport tickets via smartphone. Through the new CARRISway app, users are allowed to load any tickets onto the Navegante card through smartphones with compatible NFC technology, eliminating the need to go to an ATM, CARRIS stores, or other customer support points. The app allows regular users to pay and activate their monthly tickets but also occasional users to top up their zapping accounts, which are accepted across all of Lisbon’s Public Transport services. In addition, beneficiaries of free public transport (such as children, students, or people with more than 65 years), can also use this app for the monthly activation of their travel cards.
